Data scientist strengthens consultancy division

We have appointed Henry Crosby as a data scientist to strengthen our research systems and data management. Henry’s responsibilities include continuously improving and innovating in our research systems, and the way we maintain and manage data.

Henry is the newest member of Carterwood’s multi-award-winning team, which has seen total demand for its services increase by 34% over the first six months of 2017, compared to 2016.

Carterwood director Ben Hartley says: “Data is integral to our consultancy work, providing the foundation for all our market reports. Henry’s appointment will help ensure our research processes stay at the forefront of the industry, and give our clients peace of mind that our data management, quality and sourcing is outstanding.”

Following a four-year research scholarship with Assured Property Group, Henry is additionally currently completing a PhD at the University of Warwick on geospatial data science techniques to better understand the real estate valuation process.

Specialising in three key technical languages, including SQL, R and Python, Henry comments: “IT offers so much scope to improve current processes. I am excited to join Carterwood and keen to make a positive difference. Developing Carterwood’s intellectual property is high on my agenda.”
