Amanda Nurse

Managing director

A general practice chartered surveyor benefitting from over 30 years in the social care sector.

Amanda advises on all aspects of this challenging field, with a particular emphasis upon operational care home sales, representing clients within both the not for profit and private sectors.

Amanda’s particular forte is guiding clients to commercial success in high value and complex property transactions. She has extensive experience of the opportunities and challenges that can arise during deals, particularly when multiple parties are involved.

As one of the founding directors of Carterwood, it’s also worth bearing in mind that she is a business owner too. That means she has first-hand insight into commercial imperatives and the need for practical and straightforward advice that demystifies transactions for strategic leaders.

Amanda is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the business.

Amanda is known amongst her family and friends for being the only person to be in ski school after 10 skiing holidays, and for baking a mean Victoria sponge.
